President
Nancy Morales-Arango brings 20+ years of experience in strategic development, sales, and industry leadership to GroundTruth Exploration. At global firms like SGS and Bureau Veritas Minerals, she led initiatives that strengthened partnerships and drove growth in the mining sector.
At GroundTruth, Nancy is focused on building strategic partnerships and enhancing community engagement. Her leadership extends beyond the company through her role as Chair of Mexico’s Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), where she has established student chapters to mentor and support the development of future industry professionals. As the founder of Women in Mining in Mexico, she is committed to advancing diversity, leadership, and inclusion within the mining industry.
Nancy’s dedication to fostering innovation, mentoring young professionals, and promoting diversity makes her an essential contributor to GroundTruth’s continued success in the mining sector.
Erin Bros P.Geo
Senior Geologist & Indigenous Relations
Erin Bros, a professional geoscientist with EGBC and the OGQ (with French fluency), brings over a decade of experience in geological mapping, project management, and Indigenous relations to her role as Senior Geologist and Indigenous Relations Advisor at GroundTruth Exploration.
Erin entered GroundTruth in 2023 leading a 1:35k regional-scale lithium mapping and prospecting project, where she oversaw a 27-member crew and managed Arctic fieldwork, Indigenous consultations, and the successful execution of complex field programs. Her experience spans a variety of challenging environments, including mountainous and remote northern regions, where she has consistently delivered results in geological mapping and project management. Erin gained valuable experience early in her career participating in regional mapping programs with the YGS, BCGS, CNGO and GSC. Erin has worked in commodities spanning porphyry, epithermal, VMS, orogenic, BIF, skarn, and LCT pegmatite systems. Her mission is to preserve the art of geological mapping and set a high standard of geological knowledge across exploration programs.
Erin is deeply committed to integrating Indigenous relations into her work, fostering respectful collaboration, and ensuring sustainable resource exploration. With her strong leadership, technical proficiency, and dedication to safety and environmental stewardship, Erin plays a key role in driving the success of GroundTruth’s exploration projects.
Benjamin Steffes-Lai
IT Manager
Benjamin Steffes-Lai is a seasoned IT Specialist with over two decades of experience in the technology sector. With a robust work ethic and a passion for innovation, he has established himself as a reliable expert in the field.
Benjamin’s career began in Germany, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of IT systems and infrastructure before relocating to Canada in December 2017. Beyond his technical expertise, Benjamin is also a dedicated hobbyist Photographer and Videographer. Benjamin holds certifications as a Transport Canada Certified UAS Operator for Advanced Operations, successfully completed an UAS search and rescue training and is recognized by National Resources Canada as a certified X-Ray Fluorescence Operator.
Since receiving his permanent residency in May 2021, Benjamin has thrived in Canada, embracing the work-life balance he has cultivated in this vibrant country. At the intersection of technology, creativity, and passion, Benjamin Steffes-Lai is ready to take on new challenges and contribute to innovative solutions at GroundTruth.
Sebastien Renaudeau
Operations Manager
Sebastien Renaudeau came to the company with an outdoor and fieldwork background.
After a decade of bushwork, mostly in Quebec and Yukon, Sebastien brings a solid experience of versatile work to GroundTruth and a handful of technical and field skills.
From building remote access camps to geophysics or even drone surveys, his value of commitment and hard work makes him a valuable asset in our team.
In 2023, He officially started to work and focus on logistics by assisting a massive lithium exploration project all over Quebec and Nunavik for a crew of 27 people.
In 2024, Sebastien managed a soiling program over 5 provinces with a total of 20 workers. His optimistic and courageous personality with high moral standards, added to his natural problem-solving mindset, makes the perfect recipe to accomplish any project.
Rocio Nunez
Human Resources Manager
Rocio Nunez joined the team as an accomplished, reliable, and results-driven Senior HR Professional with over 20 years of local and international experience in driving the development and execution of HR services and organizational development projects.
She holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, along with certifications in CPHR BC-Yukon, SHRM-SCP USA, and Prosci CM. Rocio brings extensive experience from Anglo American mining exploration and operations in Venezuela. Upon moving to Canada, she has worked in various industries and mining, managing operations and projects in BC, Mexico, and Panama. Most recently, she served as an HR Consultant and Contractor for a variety of clients.
While performing leadership roles in the development, implementation, and execution of human resources services and strategies, Rocio is recognized as an influential change leader with a strategic problem-solving approach.
Rocio has a proven track record of identifying needs, assessing potential, and implementing solutions that align with organizational performance goals.
Rocio’s contribution to GroundTruth is to enhance the optimization process in human resources services and focus on internal customer service. Rocio enjoys nature and spends her time on outdoor activities. Reading and travelling are also her hobbies, and she is very passionate about learning about new cultures.
Jason Sawford
Drilling Operations Manager
Jason brings to GroundTruth over 15 years of extensive experience and dedication to the Drilling Industry. His proficiency in Air Drilling began in Western Australia, eventually leading him to explore Canada’s unique permafrost regions, where he has enhanced his drilling skills and tackled distinct challenges.
With experience in all roles within a drill crew, Jason possesses comprehensive knowledge and a profound appreciation for each team member’s role in achieving successful drill programs.
Jason is also an advocate for safety, playing a crucial role in establishing safety documentation and protocols.
His diverse skillset enhances GTD’s operations through technical drill training, hands-on mechanics and overall program management. Furthermore, Jason has demonstrated innovation by significantly contributing to the development of GT’s RC Drill system. He continues to advance ground-based track systems, including the latest addition to GTD’s, Drill mounted Bombardier Muskeg system.
For Jason, drilling is not just a job; it’s a lifestyle that combines travel to amazing places and collaboration with dedicated colleagues.

Amir Radjaee Ph.D, P.Geo
Senior Geophysicist
Amir Radjaee is a Project Manager and Senior Geophysicist with extensive technical and managerial expertise in geophysical investigations for mineral exploration, geotechnical engineering, and environmental decision support.
With over 20 years of experience in Canada and internationally, he has been actively involved in all stages of project development, from proposing client-driven solutions to survey planning, data processing, inversion modeling, and the integrated interpretation of multi-disciplinary geoscience data.
Previously, he held geophysicist roles at Mira Geoscience, CanAlaska Uranium, and Sabir Dam and Water Works. Amir holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Geophysics, specializing in data processing and inversion modelling. Dr. Radjaee is a registered P.Geo. with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
Daniel Ramirez
Project Geologist
Daniel is a dedicated geologist with a strong focus on mineral exploration and resource development. Since 2019, he has contributed to a diverse range of exploration programs, from early-stage greenfield and brownfield projects to resource definition drilling, helping unlock valuable opportunities across British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia.
Holding a B.Sc. in Geology from Saint Mary’s University and an Advanced GIS Diploma from BCIT, Daniel brings a well-rounded technical skill set that includes geological modeling, data interpretation, and hands-on fieldwork. His experience spans both remote and established mining regions, where his contributions have had an impact.
Daniel has played a key role in major exploration projects, including TDG Gold’s Shasta and Baker deposits, Independence Gold’s 3Ts project, and Libero Copper’s Golden Triangle project. His expertise in geological mapping, core logging, drill management, and geochemical analysis has been essential in advancing these efforts. Through his work, Daniel has helped uncover valuable insights that have propelled the progress of these projects.

Thomas Griffis
Assistant Drilling Manager & Drill Foreman
Tom Griffis is a seasoned professional in the mineral exploration industry, bringing over a decade of extensive experience to his role as Assistant Operations Manager.
An expert at organizing and managing drilling operations on-site, Tom excels in overseeing training groups, equipment ordering, and inventory management—upholding what he proudly recognizes as “the golden standard of drilling.”
Tom’s career began as a geological technician, where he quickly developed a specialty in Reverse Circulation (RC) and Rotary Air Blast (RAB) drilling. His diverse background also includes expertise in diamond drilling and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), equipping him with a well-rounded understanding of various drilling methodologies.
He has successfully completed remote drilling operations across Canada and Alaska, including challenging projects in the Arctic. Tom’s commitment to quality and safety makes him a vital asset to any team, particularly in demanding environments. His work ethic is unmatched, and he remains goal-oriented, consistently aiming for excellence in each project he undertakes.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Tom is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring new destinations. He also takes delight in cooking, often sharing his culinary creations with colleagues. Samantha Pike
Lead Geologist & Social Media Strategist
Samantha’s journey into geology began as a student geologist at the Geological Survey of Newfoundland. This foundational experience ignited her interest in mapping, and petrography, setting the stage for her future career. In 2023, she joined GroundTruth as a geology student, where she conducted geological mapping in the Nunavik region for lithium prospects. This hands-on experience solidified her passion for geological mapping and mineral exploration.
After two summers of fieldwork as a student with GroundTruth, Samantha transitioned to Geologist-in-Training (G.I.T) upon graduating from Memorial University in 2024 with a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences. Her academic achievements, coupled with her extensive fieldwork, equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of geological concepts and practices.
Samantha’s leadership capabilities are evident in her proactive approach to responsibilities. She consistently demonstrates a willingness to take charge and ensure tasks are completed effectively. Her passion for geology shines through her strong work ethic and enthusiasm, which she brings to both her field role as lead geologist and her online role as social media manager.

Jason Kim
Database Technician
Jason Kim is passionate about maps and geospatial data. Jason specializes in managing and ensuring the quality of our database while creating geospatial data visualizations and survey lines for the crew.
With hands-on experience in every stage of a field sample’s journey—having worked in the field, lab, and now the office—he brings a broad understanding of the industry. This perspective allows him to bridge the gap between different teams, ensuring smooth communication and efficient workflows.
Logical and detail-oriented, Jason thrives on transforming complex spatial data into clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making. His ability to see the bigger picture while maintaining precision enables him to create high-quality geospatial analyses that support both operational needs and long-term planning.
Outside of work, Jason stays active and connected to nature through camping, hiking, paddleboarding, and other outdoor activities. For him, maps aren’t just a tool—they’re a way to navigate both the world and life itself.
